We are the University of Maryland campus chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. As a group of student journalists, we are dedicated to improving and protecting journalism.

We advocate ethical journalism practices, promote the free flow of information, work to inspire and educate current and future journalists through professional development, and protect First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and press through advocacy efforts.

We host a variety of educational and social events to connect members to each other, with professional journalists, and to the journalism industry. We train the next generation of journalists through out-of-the-classroom activities, workshops, and seminars.
